This week's ELSPA official UK game sales chart as compiled by Chart-Track saw Atari's movie-inspired Enter the Matrix retaining its position at number one, directly ahead of this week's highest new entry, The Sims: Superstar. Other new entries this week included Def Jam Vendetta, which debuted in the fourth position, and Silent Hill 3 at number seven.

Most of the movement in this week's chart came about as a result of the new arrivals, although it's worth noting that the Xbox version of MotoGP 2 fell right off the bottom of the chart from position 12 after spending only one week in the top 20. The other two games to drop out of the top 20 this week were Spider-Man: The Movie and Grand Theft Auto III.
