Official Fire Pro Wrestling Z Site opens

Spike has opened the official site for its upcoming PlayStation 2 release, Fire Pro Wrestling Z. The Fire Pro Wrestling series has been around since the TurboGraphx 16 era, and Fire Pro Wrestling Z will be the final installment. The game will feature nine modes, including single match, single tournament, league battle, elimination match, battle royal, victory road, title match, edit, and story. The victory road mode will be a survival mode in which players must battle all characters in the game, regardless of their wrestling organization. The title match mode will allow players to fight with their own original belt--which can be created in the edit mode--on the line. In the story mode, players will assume the role of a new wrestler who must start out in wrestling school and eventually make it in the world of professional wrestling.

Fire Pro Wrestling Z is scheduled for release this June in Japan. A North American release has not been announced.
