Brisbane-based Starcraft II fans will be in for a treat later this month, with Blizzard Entertainment announcing that it has teamed up with EB Games Australia to host the official Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty launch event at King George Square, opposite EB Games' Albert Street store in Queensland's capital city.

The event will be kicking off from 9:30 p.m. on Monday, July 26, with several big activities planned to keep people entertained in line; the biggest of which is a live developer panel with Starcraft II producer Kaeo Milker. For those in the crowd with a competitive streak, Blizzard will also reward people with prizes for correctly answering trivia questions, imitating character voices in the sound-a-like contest, and showing up in their best Starcraft II cosplay outfits.

Other select EB Games stores around the country will be opening at midnight as well but will be decided on a store-by-store basis, so we'd recommend you check in at your local EB before turning up at midnight.

GameSpot AU will be there in force, so stay tuned for more Starcraft II news in the coming weeks in the buildup to its release.
