NPD weekly PC game sales chart

C&C: Generals goes straight to the top the PC game sales chart after its first week on sale.

Comments

There are very few surprises in the NPD PC game sales chart this week, as Command & Conquer: Generals debuted at number one and effectively pushed every other game in the top 10 down a place. The only exceptions to this rule were Unreal II: The Awakening, which retained its position in third place, and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, which was at number nine last week but fell off the chart.

The only other new entry this week was Vivendi's NASCAR Racing Season 2003, which entered the chart in the 10th position, which had been held by Age of Mythology.

Best-selling PC games for the week of February 9-15, 2003:

Rank / Title / Publisher / Average Price
1 / Command & Conquer: Generals / EA / $42
2 / Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome / EA / $17
3 / Unreal II: The Awakening / Infogrames / $41
4 / SimCity 4 / EA / $48
5 / The Sims Deluxe / EA / $44
6 / The Sims: Unleashed / EA / $29
7 / Zoo Tycoon / Microsoft / $28
8 / Battlefield 1942 / EA / $43
9 / Medal of Honor Allied Assault: Spearhead / EA / $21
10 / NASCAR Racing 2003 Season / Vivendi / $41
