There's Assassin's Creed games, Assassin's Creed comics, and an Assassin's Creed movie, but Ubisoft's acclaimed action franchise isn't done growing yet. Ubisoft has announced Assassin's Creed: Arena, an all-new board game launching February 26 for $50.

Created in partnership with Cryptozoic Entertainment (makers of Walking Dead and Adventure Time board games and card decks), Assassin's Creed: Arena is a 2-4 player tabletop game that, as you might guess, focuses on killing.

Players will take out targets or other players to score "Victory Points" as they move across the rooftops of Constantinople. You can play as Templars from Assassin's Creed: Revelations like Shahkulu, Odai Dunqas, Oksana Razin, and Anacletos.

You can preorder the game today through Cryptozoic's website. For more information about Assassin's Creed: Arena, including full instructions on how to play, check out a detailed post on the Ubisoft Blog.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which launched last fall, is the most recent entry in the core series and has shipped 10 million copies to date. A new installment in the main franchise has been released every year since 2009, but Ubisoft has yet to announce 2014's game.

Arena? Really? I was expecting something like First Quest, more RPG oriented, where you could complete missions and upgrade your character. This looks like shit.

Cryptozoic doesn't make really good games ( Epic Spell Wars is the exception) but I'm hopping for a good AC board game from Fantasy Flight Games the ones who did Starcraft the boardgame, Doom the boardgame and Gears of wars the board game all with excellent miniatures.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >>Thanks, ill have to check them out. I have no problem spending even $100+ on an awesome board game, but I like to watch youtube gameplay reviews or boardgamegeek reviews, or play it at a game expo to decide how much I might like it. But from what I see in the picture, the AC board game looks like it was completely designed during a lunch break.

Couldn't they at least have put some work into the playing pieces? Cardboard cutouts on stands...If you want me to spend 50 dollars on a board game, at least have the decency to give us metal figurines like Monopoly or Risk.

I would of preferred a Dungeons and Dragons version based on AC than this.

Why would they choose to make the board game after Revelations? The only AC game worse is AC3.

Ubisoft for once I will say something nice about you. It has been hard in the past year but I will do it here and say it is nice to see that you are encouraging people to play something other than video games too. Board games are a better multiplayer experience than any video game can offer in my opinion. Sitting down and playing in the same room looking at each other and not using any electronic bull crap is something people should still want to do and be encouraged to do at times. I applaud you for bringing out a product like this.

Doesn't appear Ubisoft believes in AC fatigue.

Loving Black Flag, but I sure do believe in fatigue.
