Shrapnel Games today announced that Space HoRSE, its remake of the classic strategy game M.U.L.E., has started shipping. Space HoRSE, which has been developed by Gilligames, supports up to four players, as did the original Atari 800 and Commodore 64 versions of M.U.L.E. from the 1980s. The game seeks to improve upon the original through the introduction of modern graphics, rendered cutscenes, and the promise of additional species being made available for download in the future.

"We have begun shipping Space HoRSE this morning," said Tim Brooks, president of Shrapnel Games. "This game has garnered a lot of interest both from the media and the gaming public. It is expected to be a best-seller for us through the Christmas season. We expect to have all preorders shipped by Thursday, August 8."

Space HoRSE is available for online direct order from Shrapnel Games for $29.95. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
