Not Going to E3? No Sweat

SegaSoft offers unlucky gamers a way to look in on the action.

Gamers not lucky enough to make it to Atlanta next week for the Electronic Entertainment Expo needn't miss out on the fun - at least not at SegaSoft's booth.

The company is planning to bring the SegaSoft VRML World Tour to gamers via its web site. The tour will come complete with a host called the Blue Robot and an online treasure hunt with prizes. The tour runs through August and requires users to have VRML, MIDI, tour plug-ins, and a browser such as Netscape 2 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0. But after gamers have cleared off some space on their hard drive, they can view SegaSoft products.

These include desktop distractions like Lose Your Marbles and Web Vengeance; already released products like Space Bar, Obsidian, and Golf: The Ultimate Collection; core products like Ragged Earth, 10 to the Sixth, Flesh Feast, Skies, Scud: The Industrial Revolution; kid's CD-ROM Grossology, and the SegaSoft gaming service, Heat.net.

SegaSoft also plans to reveal what it is calling Mystery Land at the show.
