Norman Reedus Has A Walking Dead: Onslaught Update For You
The Walking Dead star appeared on the Upload VR Showcase recently to discuss Onslaught and how fans can look forward to gameplay footage this summer.
Norman Reedus made an appearance at the Upload VR Showcase to tell fans more about the upcoming VR title from Survios--The Walking Dead: Onslaught.
Reedus has signed on to reprise his character from the show, Daryl Dixon, in The Walking Dead: Onslaught. Players will also be able to assume the roles of other notable characters from the Walking Dead TV show while playing the game. According to a press release from Survios, Melissa McBride and Josh McDermitt will be joining Reedus to provide voiceover work related to their characters from the show.
The game was originally meant to be launched in Fall 2019, but it was delayed to this year, and now appears to not have a confirmed release window. The Walking Dead: Onslaught will have a single-player campaign with an emphasis on hand-to-hand combat as reported by VRFocus. It also differs from this year's Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners because of its vaunted Progressive Dismemberment System that focuses on letting players tear walkers apart.
When addressing fans at the Upload VR Showcase, Reedus specifically mentioned that they could look forward to updated footage later on this year. The game has reportedly entered its final stage of development, with Reedus wrapping his voice recording for the title and confirming at the showcase that a gameplay reveal was on the way.
The Walking Dead: Onslaught is slated for release on PC VR and PSVR, though there's no specific date listed yet. We have a list of recently announced games that are now available if you need something to pass the time until the next update about Onslaught.
