No TokiMemo for the US

Contrary to what has been said on other web sites, Konami told GameSpot News today that Tokimeki Memorial (aka TokiMemo, for short) will not be released in the US.

The popular Japanese dating sim has been the topic of much conversation in past months, having a small but loyal fan following in the US.

Kent Keltner, author of the Team TokiMemo web site, had contacted Konami earlier this year about possibly localizing the game for the US market, but Konami decided against it. Since that time, the company has stated that there will not be an English version of the game.

Keltner's web page instead has pointers to menu translations that will aid fans who want to play the Japanese version of the game.
