Last week Ninjas in Pyjamas were forced to let go mid-laner Erlend 'NukeDuck' Holm and support player Alfonso 'Mithy' Rodriguez after Riot barred both players from the Challenger Series and LCS due to what they cited as toxic behavior. NiP management has confirmed to onGamers that former Cloud 9 Eclipse support Erih 'Voidle' Sommermann and former SK Gaming Prime mid-laner Fabian 'Exileh' Schubet are currently trying out for the team, and will both start for the teams EU Challenger Coke Series Semifinal match against G2 on Thursday.

NiP management has also confirmed the signing of a new head coach for the team, bringing in former Evil Geniuses analyst Clement Chu, who also worked with the former NiP squad when they were in the LCS. Chu assisted the debut of EG North America during their run to qualify for the NA LCS.

Chu has moved into the team's new gaming house Stockholm, and will stay there during his time as coach. Chu has been given control of the team and will have the final say on roster changes, including the decision on whether to keep Sommermann and Schubet.

The addition of Chu marks another head-coaching signing for professional League of Legends teams. Earlier this week TSM confirmed the signing of Choi 'Locodoco' Yoonsup, while Team Coast acquired former TSM starter Shan 'Chaox' Huang.
