Nintendo Switch Will Blow You Away, Nvidia CEO Says
"That entire experience is going to be very Nintendo."
The Nintendo Switch hybrid console will be more fully detailed this week during a Nintendo briefing. Ahead of that, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang has spoken out to say the system is going to blow you away in terms of what Nintendo has been able to achieve with its "dedication to their craft."

"It's very Nintendo," Huang said about the Nintendo Switch at CES recently, as reported by VentureBeat. "That entire experience is going to be very Nintendo. The beauty of that company, the craft of that company, the philosophy of that company--they're myopically, singularly focused on making sure that the gaming experience is amazing, surprising, and safe for young people, for children.
"Their dedication to their craft, that singular dedication, is quite admirable. When you guys all see Switch, I believe people are going to be blown away, quite frankly. It's really delightful."
As announced previously, the Switch runs on Nvidia technology.
A report from December claimed the Switch would boast 1 teraflop of performance, meaning it's reportedly less powerful than the PS4 and Xbox One. Sources said the Switch will use Nvidia's Maxwell graphics processing technology, not the chip-maker's newer Pascal architecture.
The specs have yet to be fully detailed, but that could happen during Nintendo's briefing this week. The event is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, January 12, while a follow-up presentation that focuses on games specifically will be held on the morning of January 13.
