Nintendo Switch Availability: In Stock At Best Buy, Target, And More
The Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite have been hard to find at most retailers for months, but we're still seeing it in stock on occasion.
Nintendo Switch consoles have been surprisingly hard to find in 2020, as many people need more to do while staying indoors during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and holiday season. Supply seems to have finally caught up with demand somewhat, as we're seeing Nintendo Switch models back in stock regularly (including the Animal Crossing: New Horizons special edition), though we don't expect this availability to last long as we head into the holiday season.
According to Nintendo, more regular Switch consoles will be restocked soon. "Nintendo Switch hardware is selling out at various retail locations in the US, but more systems are on the way. We apologize for any inconvenience," Nintendo told GameSpot in an email statement.
It might be difficult to find either version of the Nintendo Switch in stock right now, but if you're quick and have just a bit of luck, you might be able to score one. The special edition Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch recently became available again in limited quantities, though it's selling out fast. Some places, like GameStop and Best Buy, let you check availability at your local store, and if you can find it in stock, they may do curbside pickup so you don't even have to go inside. You can check the current listings and availability below. We check for availability frequently and update this story anytime we spot the Switch in stock.
Where to buy Nintendo Switch right now
Nintendo Switch out of stock
While not available at MSRP, you can check current listings for the regular Nintendo Switch below. Some stores simply list the console as unavailable, while others are allowing third-party sellers to offer the console for much higher prices, usually around $400-$500. Sometimes, the Switch is only available for pickup at a brick-and-mortar location.
Nintendo Switch Lite out of stock
The Nintendo Switch Lite is a little easier to find than the regular Switch, but it's currently sold out at most major retailers right now. As with the regular Switch, Amazon and Walmart are selling all versions of the console through third-party sellers at a markup, if you absolutely need one on short notice.
