TOKYO - At the New Generation World Hobby Fair, which took place over the weekend, Nintendo released flyers for its upcoming Space World show. On the flyers, Nintendo revealed a list of the first games to be displayed, including Pocket Monsters Gold/Silver, Kirby 64, Donkey Kong 64, and the Legend of Zelda: Gaiden ("Gaiden" means "side story"). Legend of Zelda: Gaiden is likely the Zelda title Nintendo referred to at its analyst meeting a few weeks ago.

Nintendo had planned to give out "secret" data for Pokemon Gold/Silver. But because the game won't be released until September, it decided to give out Mew's data (the 151st Pokemon) for the standard game again.

Nintendo has given this data out on more than one occasion, including the last Space World show.

The Space World '99 will be held from August 27 - 29 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Japan.

As for the New Generation Hobby Fair show, the expo promotes new toys and video games for kids. Attendees could check out the latest toys and games (some of them not yet released) for free. These shows are always popular (as you can imagine - free games!). They've been held nine times already in the past five years. This was the tenth show.

On the show floor were such toys as the recently released Furby, the soon-to-be-released Star Wars Episode 1 merchandise, and Pokemon, of course.

Unfortunately, most of the games at the show have already been released or were previously shown at the Tokyo Games Show. Among the games, though, we did get a chance to see the latest screenshots for Pokemon Silver/Gold. It was just for a brief moment, but many people immediately gathered around the booth and listened to the speaker talk about the game.
