It looks like Nintendo of America, which is headquartered right outside of Seattle, Washington, is rooting for its home team in the Super Bowl today.

Yesterday, the company's verified Twitter account tweeted Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch, saying "Hey @MoneyLynch! We heard you like Toad, so we used #MK8 to run a simulation of Sunday’s game," and attached the following .gif, in which Toad nails a Mii version New England Patriots tight end Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski with a red shell.

The tweet is referencing Lynch's recent appearance on Conan O'Brien's late night talk show, where he played a few rounds of Mortal Kombat X against Gronkowski. During the segment, Lynch revealed that he usually likes to play Mario Kart, and that Toad is his favorite driver.

Lynch, in case you're wondering, also won more rounds of Mortal Kombat X.

Super Bowl XLIX between the Seattle Seahawks and The New England Patriots kicks off today, 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
