You can rewatch the entire thing below and then check out our roundup of the biggest news and announcements.

How To Watch The Nintendo Direct Mini

Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom is bringing a new Monster Hunter game to Nintendo Switch, and it features adorable dog mounts, agile mobility options, and a very cool owl. Naturally, the game features enormous beasts for you to track down and destroy, including bird creatures and bulbous titans. Magnamalo appears to be the big baddie in this one. Monster Hunter Rise will be available on March 21, 2021, and it's getting Amiibo figures alongside it. The dogs are called "Palamutes." Enough said.

Monster Hunter Stories 2

Capcom wasn't done with just Monster Hunter: Rise during the Nintendo Direct Mini. With a more anime-inspired art style, Monster Hunter Stories 2 focuses on battling alongside monsters instead of merely destroying them, and it also seems like it will feature more narrative-focused gameplay than the standard Monster Hunter games--you'll know this if you played the first game, and you can play the sequel in Summer 2021.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

The long-running role-playing series is back on Nintendo Switch with Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. The protagonist grows stronger as he dies, and the battle system from previous games returns. If you get max damage, you can reach the quadrillions. It's coming exclusively to Switch in Summer 2021, and a trial of the previous game is available for a limited time to Nintendo Switch Online members.

Hades

The long-awaited dungeon-crawling game from the creators of Bastion and Transistor is available on Switch today. Hades will support cross-save eventually, but this feature will not be ready for launch. It was previously released in an early access phase on PC and has received critical acclaim. After a patch, it appears the game is also running pretty smoothly on Switch, as well.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Blind Forest is getting joined by Ori and the Will of the Wisps on Nintendo Switch. The sequel is an even more impressive take on the Metroidvania formula and will almost certainly make you cry in the first few minutes. It released on Xbox One earlier this year and will be coming to Xbox Series X, as well. It's available now. A special collector's edition is coming in the future, as well.
