The much-anticipated September Nintendo Direct aired on Thursday, and at 40 minutes long, it had a lot on offer. This presentation for September 2019 was teased as focusing primarily on 2019 Switch games, we did get a look at some games releasing in 2020. But without a doubt, the focus was on what you can play on Switch in the next few months--as well as a number of things you can play right now (or this week), such as new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC, SNES games, and a whole lot more. On that front, we have a roundup of the Switch games and DLC released after the Direct that you can pick up right now.

The leaked Switch version of Overwatch was confirmed right at the start of the broadcast, and that was followed by a furious slate of announcements. Everything from Deadly Premonition 2 to additional Smash DLC characters to Star Wars and so many more things were shown. Below, you'll find a recap of all the news from the event, as well as the post-broadcast Smash presentation that delivered a few additional announcements.
