2018 saw one of the most intriguing adventure games in recent years with 3909's Return of the Obra Dinn. Though it was only available for PC, the September Nintendo Direct has revealed that it's now coming to consoles for the first time--specifically, on Nintendo Switch.

Though no official date has been announced, it will be arriving in Fall 2019. There's no word on any additions or improvements being made for this version of the game.

Last year, GameSpot picked Return of the Obra Dinn as one of the best games of 2018. In reviews editor Kallie Plagge, "Best known for 2013's Papers, Please, developer Lucas Pope has a knack for crafting memorable and evocative games that engage your deductive reasoning. His latest game, Return of the Obra Dinn, once again puts you in an administrative role--you're an insurance adjuster for the East India Company in the early 19th century--and tasks you with identifying who or what a person is based on limited information. In this case, you have to discover the fates of all 60 crew members and passengers aboard the Obra Dinn, which was lost at sea only to drift back to harbor several years later with no one on board alive."
