Over the past 18 months, the only way for new Wii owners to get hold of a Wii MotionPlus adaptor has been to buy it separately or as part of a game bundle. The Aussie arm of Nintendo has now decided it's time to update the contents of the Wii console package, bringing it up to speed with all of the essential tools you'll need for current Wii gaming.

For A$299.95 ($290) consumers will now get a copy of both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, as well as a Wii Remote Plus and a nunchuk when they purchase a new black or white Wii console, which goes on sale on October 28. The Wii Remote Plus controller was announced last month during Nintendo's 3DS media briefing and features a Wii MotionPlus adaptor built into the controller.

Previously, the Wii came only with a standard Wii Remote and a copy of Wii Sports. Though the nunchuk was used in almost every game, consumers were left to purchase it separately.

Nintendo Australia has also given the price and date of release for the Wii Remote Plus stand-alone and the Classic Controller Pro, both of which are due to arrive shortly. From October 28, the Wii Remote Plus will also be available in pink, black, white, and blue for A$69.95. The good news for consumers is that the A$69.95 price point is the same as for the regular Wii Remotes, so there hasn't been a price hike for the upgraded hardware. The Classic Controller Pro comes out a little bit later on November 3 for A$34.95. In the past, the only way to get hold of a Classic Controller Pro was by buying Monster Hunter Tri.
