Today, Nintendo announced the comeback of its annual Nintendo Connection Tour, a three-week-long showcase of Nintendo titles, which this year will tour shopping centres across Australia from September 24 until October 15.

Commencing at Westfield Southland in Victoria, the showcase is designed to give Aussie gamers hands-on time with upcoming Nintendo titles. The highlight of this year's show will be a playable version of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on the Wii, which is set for release worldwide in November and before the end of the year in Australia. According to Nintendo, this year's showcase will be housed in a set inspired by the Legend of Zelda series and will also include titles such as Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS, as well as Super Mario 3D Land and Kid Icarus Uprising.

Skyward Sword will be playable on Nintendo's Aussie showcase tour, kicking off this month.

Those who come armed with their Nintendo 3DS consoles will also get the chance to put the StreetPass feature into action--swapping Mii characters, puzzle pieces, Nintendogs and cats--and the chance to participate in a Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition figurine battle.

Also available during the showcase will be the Pokedex 3D free application on the Nintendo 3DS, which allows players to view Pokemon in 3D and use Pokemon augmented-reality markers to bring the characters to life and take photos on the console.

Nintendo has also announced that a competition will be held at each location of the tour, where one winner will receive all the games shown (upon launch). To be eligible for the competition, punters need to be one of the first 125 people to enter the tour set on each given activity day, so be sure to get there as early as you can.
