Nintendo announces more GBA NES titles

Coming May 21, the second wave of Famicom Mini games will feature Mario Brothers and Dig Dug.

TOKYO--Nintendo announced today that it will release a second series of Famicom Mini Game Boy Advance titles in Japan. The Famicom Mini series are ports of classical Famicom (NES) games that are being released to commemorate the console's 20th anniversary. Along with an NES-themed Game Boy Advance, the first Famicom Mini series is being released in the US as the Classic NES Series in June.

Ten titles have been announced for the second release of the Famicom Mini series, which will feature several popular titles from third-party publishers. The second Famicom Mini series will hit stores on May 21 at a retail price of 2,000 yen ($19). Titles in the series include:

Mario Brothers
Clu Clu Land
Balloon Fight
Wrecking Crew
Dr. Mario
Dig Dug (Namco)
Adventure Island (Takahashi Meijin no Boukenjima Hudson)
Ghosts 'n Goblins (Makaimura, Capcom)
Stinger (Twinbee, Konami)
Mystical Ninja Goemon (Gannbare Goemon! Karakuri Douchu (Konami)

NES fans should also note that Nintendo will cease production of the first Famicom Mini series on May 21. This means that any copies in retailers' stocks will be the last ones.
