NHL Hockey Night PS2 Update

Konami dishes out more NHL goodness on Sony's next-generation console.

Comments

Konami has released further information on and several new images of ESPN NHL Hockey Night for the Sony PlayStation 2. As with the other ESPN-licensed sports games, NHL Hockey Night will attempt to mimic the look and feel of an actual ESPN hockey broadcast with specific graphics, camera angles, and statistics, as well as commentary from Gary Thorne and Steve Levy. Naturally, all the NHL teams, including the expansion Columbus Blue Jackets and the Minnesota Wild, will be featured in the game. Modes of play include exhibition, season, and playoffs, and players can also create their own NHL stars.

ESPN NHL Hockey Night for the PlayStation 2 will be released in January 2001. The Game Boy Color version of the game will also be available at that time.
