Far Cry 3 was followed up by the aforementioned Blood Dragon and then Far Cry 4 in 2014. The latest game in the series is 2016's Far Cry Primal. No new entries in the series have been announced.

GameSpot's Far Cry 3 review scored the game a 9/10. "This is an ambitious and finely tuned adventure that gets better and better as you play," reviewer Kevin VanOrd said.
