Next PS2-on-PS4 Game Gets Release Date

2003 PlayStation 2 role-playing game Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits will launch on PlayStation 4 this coming Tuesday, January 12, Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog.

Back at the PlayStation Experience event in December, Sony announced Twilight of the Spirits would join the PS2-on-PS4 lineup, but didn't provide a specific release date.

The fantasy game follows the stories of two brothers struggling for control of a precious resource. For more on it, you can read GameSpot's review from 2003.

Pricing for Twilight of the Spirits' PS4 version was not announced. However, other games in the lineup cost $10-$15, price points that PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida recently defended.

There are currently ten games in the PS2-on-PS4 library, including Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, PaRappa the Rapper 2, and Twisted Metal Black. In addition to those, Sony has confirmed that The King of Fighters 2000 will be added later, while Rockstar's Max Payne might also be on the way, though this is not confirmed.

Yoshida previously said Sony will work "tirelessly" to release even more PS2 games for PS4 "on a regular basis." The company is also asking for your suggestions for which games should be added.
