The first trailer for acclaimed thriller director Ari Aster's next film, Beau Is Afraid, will be released on January 10. Production company A24, which was behind Aster's previous hits Midsommar and Hereditary, made the announcement on social media. If the name Beau Is Afraid sounds new to you, that's because A24 only just recently changed the name from Disappointment Blvd.

Joaquin Phoenix, who won an Oscar for Joker, stars in Beau Is Afraid. The film carries the tagline, "From his darkest fears comes the greatest adventure."

Beau Is Afraid stars Phoenix as Beau. Deadline reported that the movie is an "intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time." While fans have to wait a bit longer for the trailer, a poster has been revealed--check it out below.

In addition to Phoenix, Beau Is Afraid stars Parker Posey, Amy Ryan, Richard Kind, and Nathan Lane. Aster wrote and directed the movie, which releases in theaters this April. Aster previously described the movie as a "nightmare comedy" that would be over four hours long.

Aster's Hereditary was released in 2018 with Midsommar coming a year later. Both were major successes both critically and commercially, and expectations are high for Beau Is Afraid. Check back on January 10 for the official debut trailer.
