GameStop's first Pro Day sale of 2021 has begun, offering PowerUp Rewards Pro members the chance to save on games, accessories, and collectibles. As usual, the sale will run for a full 24 hours, and only Pro members who are signed into their account will be able to take advantage of the online deals. The Pro Day deals will also be available in stores. It's one of your best chances outside of the holidays to save big on games. If you need to get a backlog going, this is the time.

The new Pro Day sale brings discounts on games for Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. There are some nice deals, but for many of these games, it's worth noting we've seen them cheaper in recent months than they are in the Pro Day sale. That includes Cyberpunk 2077, which will be $40 for Pro members on Saturday but was $30 as recently as this week. (We don't recommend buying Cyberpunk 2077 for last-gen consoles anyway unless you're holding out for the next-gen upgrade.) Persona 5 Royal sees a drop to $40 as well, and while we highly recommend the acclaimed JRPG, you'll likely find it cheaper in other sales if you're willing to wait--it was just $20 during Black Friday.

The sale also offers first-party Nintendo Switch games for $50 instead of their usual $60. While this would have been notable in years past, $40-$45 is increasingly becoming the standard discount range for games like Super Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Just check out Walmart or Best Buy right now, for instance, and you'll find some of these games for less than $50. For those who just got a Switch, that's the best way to quickly get all the first-party classics.

So what is worth the bargain in today's Pro Day sale? Assassin's Creed Valhalla is down to $30 on current- and last-gen consoles, an excellent deal if you haven't snagged Ubisoft's latest open-world adventure. The game is also cross-gen compatible. This means if you buy the PS4 version, for instance, you can get the PS5 version as a free download. It's also filled with well over 100 hours of content.

Speaking of Ubisoft, the Breath of the Wild-inspired Immortals Fenyx Rising is also on sale for $30 for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. And while we've seen it at $30 before, Watch Dogs Legion is another solid get at that price.

If you're in need of a new headset, the Razer BlackShark V2 wired gaming headset is one of our favorites, and it's $10 off for Pro members on Saturday. You can also snag pre-owned PS4 and Xbox One wireless controllers for $30 each, and pre-owned games will have a buy two, get one free offer.

Current-gen console owners should keep an eye out for discounts on Seagate's game drives as well--the 4TB version will be on sale for $100, while the 2TB version will be down to $70. These are great options for storing and playing your last-gen games on the new consoles. Xbox Series X owners can also find a nice deal on PowerA's Dual Charging Station, which can charge two of the new Xbox wireless controllers at once.

You'll be able to check out the full sale once it's live below. Most deals available on PS4/PS5 are available for Xbox One/Xbox Series X as well, and vice versa.
