2K Games releases free download of BioShock score
In creating the undersea utopia-gone-wrong of Rapture for its Xbox 360 and PC first-person shooter BioShock, 2K Games enlisted composer Gary Schyman (Destroy All Humans, Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers) to create an eerie, unsettling score to suit the game's eerie, unsettling storyline. Gamers who want to see how that music fits with their own day-to-day lives will be happy to learn that 2K Games has made the 12-song orchestral soundtrack available as a free download. The full 23MB file can be downloaded from the game's official Web site, Cult of Rapture.

Gamecock to publish Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball
Gamecock Media Group today announced its agreement with freshly formed developer Blazing Lizard to publish the studio's first game, Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball. As the name suggests, the game is a humor-laced sports game pitting pirates, ninjas, and other unannounced theme teams against one another in the sport of elementary school gym-class kings. The game is set for release as a downloadable console game in the first quarter of 2008, but Blazing Lizard has yet to specify on which platforms it will appear.
