New Wizardry 8 Screens

Sir-Tech Canada has released a group of new screenshots from Wizardry 8, the latest installment in its long-running Wizardry role-playing game series. In the game, players lead a small party of characters through a 3D fantasy world in a quest to defeat The Dark Savant, an evil character from previous Wizardry games. The screenshots show off some new creatures, including the frightmare, iron weeds and poppies, and a large group of Higardi brigands and highwaymen.

The developers also released a notice that several Web sites are listing unverified released dates and publishers. The company reiterated that it is not yet in a position to announce a publisher or a release date.
