New Wakanda Forever Featurette Gets Audiences Ready For What's To Come With Black Panther

Fans are counting down to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and the moment is almost here as the movie releases in theaters on November 11. While the sudden passing of star Chadwick Boseman cast a shadow over the production, the cast and crew came together out of love and admiration for their co-star to make this one of Marvel Studios' greatest achievements.

In addition to Marvel releasing new posters for the movie, it released a featurette with new footage and interviews with the cast including Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong'o, and one of the newest characters to the MCU: Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor, the underwater ruler of Talocan.

"Audiences have embraced Wakanda and Black Panther and Chadwick," said Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda, and opened the featurette. "He knew what these characters and these images meant to the world. In the telling of this story, we were all able to honor him together. I'm just so glad to be a part of this."

It wasn't just the task of treating this movie as a celebration of Boseman's life, but also to keep moving the story forward. Director Ryan Coogler talked about the importance of bringing Namor to the MCU, who has a long-standing rivalry with T'Challa as well as Wakanda at large in the comics. In Wakanda Forever, Namor is revered as a living god than a simple king. Coolger also briefly mentioned how excited he was to be the one to introduce Namor to the story, as he's one of comics' oldest characters, debuting all the way back in 1939.

Letitia Wright, who plays T'Challa's sister Shuri, one of the MCU's most brilliant characters, said she's excited to be back in Wakanda and ready for the world to discover the ins and outs of this world.

"I'm so excited about the world being able to tap into Wakanda again," she said. "How each character takes on new challenges and I'm excited about us honoring Chad."

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11.
