New Uncharted Movie Clip Shows Tom Holland's Nathan Drake Fighting On An Airplane

It looks like the Uncharted movie will borrow a sequence from Uncharted 3.

As part of Sony's CES 2022 event this week, the company released a brand-new clip of the Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. The new clip shows Holland duking it out against his enemies on a massive cargo plane in a scene reminiscent of one from Uncharted 3.

"In the race to find the world's greatest treasure, you have to watch your step," reads a line from the video's description. Check it out below.

The Uncharted movie doesn't follow the story of any one particular Uncharted game, though as this scene shows, it will seemingly borrow elements and sequences from the games. In the movie, Sully (Wahlberg) recruits Drake to find a lost treasure. Other people are interested, of course, including the evil Moncada (Antonio Banderas) who tries to stop Nate and Sully. It also appears that Nate's brother, Sam, might make an appearance in the film. The full synopsis follows below.

After many delays, numerous director changes, and other issues, the Uncharted movie debuts in theaters on February 18. Everyone who buys Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection--which releases on PS5 on January 28--gets a ticket to see the movie.

The movie was written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway; they wrote the first MCU movie, Iron Man. Venom and Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer directed the movie.

Uncharted Movie Plot Description

"Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor 'Sully' Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together."
