The 2016 zombie action movie Train to Busan was one of the biggest Korean hits of recent years, and the sequel is on the way. The next film is titled Peninsula (or Train to Busan Presents Peninsula to use the full title), and the second trailer has arrived.

While the first Peninsula teaser gave us a taste of some spectacular visuals, the new trailer reveals some of the plot. Infected zombies have overrun the world, and cities are now desolate and dangerous places. But a group of survivors head back into the city on a mission to retrieve a huge stash of money, but it doesn't look like things go very well for them. The movie clearly has a much bigger scale than its predecessor and delivers the action as well as some wild-looking zombie mayhem. Check it out below:

An official synopsis for the movie has also been released. It reads, "Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best--or worst--of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances."

Train to Busan Presents Peninsula is set to be released in the US by Well Go USA, and while it doesn't have a set release date yet, a release later this year seems likely. It's directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who also helmed the first movie.

Train to Busan stands as one of the most successful movies ever released in South Korea, and it grossed more than $1.2 million at the US box office. For more, check out GameSpot's guide to the year's biggest upcoming horror movies.
