Valve and Netflix have partnered up for a new Dota anime, and now a new trailer for it has arrived before the series itself premieres later this month.

In the new Dragon's Blood trailer, we get a closer look at some of the high drama going on in Netflix's latest video game adaptation. A description for the trailer states, "They serve Selemene, the Goddess of the Moon - but do they really know whom they serve? This March, a dark hidden truth will finally be revealed as the battle of the ages begins."

Valve's Dota video game series started as a player-made mod for Warcraft III before spinning off into its own game that helped spawn the MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) genre.

The latest edition of the game, Dota 2, released in 2013 and it continues to be an absolute juggernaut. It is consistently one of the most-played games on Steam, and its annual competitive series, The International, features one of the biggest prize purses in all of esports.

The logline for Dragon's Blood sums up the story thusly, "A conflicted yet courageous Dragon Knight must use the power of the dragon within to stop a deadly demon in this epic fantasy based on the online game."

Dragon's Blood is not Netflix's first video game anime, as the company previously partnered with Konami for a Castlevania series. This has been so popular that it's coming back for a Season 4.
