New Tekken 7 Trailer Sets Up Characters' Stories

The Mishima Clan's blood feud soon comes to an end.

The latest entry in Bandai Namco's long-running fighting series, Tekken 7, is two weeks away from its worldwide release, and the publisher has set the stage for the game's launch with a new story trailer.

The video gives fans a preview of Tekken 7's plot, which sees the Mishima Clan's 20-year blood feud come to its climactic conclusion. As you'd expect from a series about martial arts, honor, and betrayal, the trailer features plenty of military-grade weaponry and earth-shaking explosions (though, sadly, no boxing kangaroos). Now Playing: Tekken 7 - No Glory For Heroes English Story Trailer

Before Tekken 7 brings the Mishimas' saga to a close, Bandai Namco is letting players catch up on the story so far with a series of humorous 8-bit trailers. The first installment covers the beginning of the clan's feud from the original Tekken through to 1998's Tekken 3.

Tekken 7 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2. We recently had a chance to speak with series producer Katsuhiro Harada, touching on a number of topics from rage-quitting to possible guest characters.

Seriously... Add a link for the youtube video on every video you add. Your player sucks. It's like one of the worst players ever constructed in the 21st century since internet happened. It's actually ridiculous how bad it is.

I've never been much of a fighting game fan, but Tekken was always the one I really enjoyed. I loved the way the characters were portrayed.

All i want is a tekken force like mode to keep me interested. Im too casual with fighting games to buy them when they only offer 1 on 1 combat. Tekken force modes are great coz theyre like a modern day 3d streets of rage game.

@deadpeasant: I dunno. Tekken force has never been that long and/or good (in T3 was short, in T6 clumsy) to pay $60 for. But every additional mode will make the game last longer. Arcade lasts some hours, survival some more, time trial some more, every special mode some more.

Anyway this sounds pretty definitive, I wonder if this is just typical japanese dramatization or if they actually plan this game to be the last or at least an end of an era. I like to think this would be the perfect Tekken game that makes all the past and future ones irrelevant. With DLC they can add the things still missing here

@PrpleTrtleBuBum: well all those other modes are still 1 on 1 combat. The force modes change the core gameplay to a beat em up like the old streets of rage games thats why i want it.

As for the last game? If this one sells enough then they will make more. Its a product and a business after all.
