New Super Mario Sunshine screens

Nintendo of Japan has released a batch of new screenshots from Super Mario Sunshine. The premise behind the game is that Mario decides to take a vacation with Princess Peach to a tropical island. Unfortunately, someone masquerading as Mario is desecrating buildings and other objects in the local town with paint. Equipped with a water pack that doubles as a water propulsion device, Mario sets out to clean up the town, find the villain, and restore his name.

Super Mario Sunshine is scheduled for a July 19 release in Japan. It will be hitting North American shores on August 26.
