New Street Fighter Anime Announced
Magna Entertainment is developing a new feature-length Street Fighter anime.
Capcom and Magna Entertainment are planning to release a new feature-length anime based on the Street Fighter world. The film's lead character is Ryu, but naturally it will feature most of the popular Street Fighter characters, old and new. In the anime, Ryu meets a boy named Shun, who claims to be his long lost brother. However, before Ryu can verify the boy's identity, he is kidnapped. The rest of the film centers on Ryu's quest to further uncover his past and find Shun.
The film will be released on January 30, 2001, on both VHS and DVD formats.
