Today during the annual Disney shareholder meeting in Denver, the company revealed new clips from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which hits theaters in December.

As announced previously, The Last Jedi picks up immediately after The Force Awakens, beginning with the cliffside meeting between Luke (Mark Hamill) and Rey (Daisy Ridley). According to Los Angeles Times reporter Daniel Miller, Luke asks Rey in the new Last Jedi Clip, "Who are you?"

Chewbacca, General Leia Organa, and Finn appeared in other clips shown at the shareholder meeting. Miller added that the new clips showed things like mountains, oceans, forest, and deserts. Miller said the footage looked "suitably epic, exotic."

Also during the meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger took time to remember Leia actress Carrie Fisher, who died in December. "Carrie Fisher has been an iconic part in this franchise from the very beginning," he said, according to The Los Angeles Times. "We all miss her. She has great talent and wit. We're proud that this movie coming up is part of her legacy."

Speaking generally about The Last Jedi, Iger said the movie is a "perfect chapter in the iconic Skywalker family drama."

According to The Last Jedi writer-director Rian Johnson, Skywalker's relationship with Rey (Daisy Ridley) in the new film will be a major point of focus. The movie's title might be in reference to Skywalker, who has been referred to as "the last Jedi" in multiple Star Wars films.

The Last Jedi opens on December 15. No trailers have been released yet, but that could happen at the Star Wars Celebration event in April, as Lucasfilm has teased some "surprises" for the show.

It also stars Laura Dern, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. Carrie Fisher filmed her Leia scenes for the movie before she passed away in December.
