New Sims 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pack Announced
Heading into a chillier season, The Sims 4 is giving players a winter wonderland option.
The Sims 4 confirmed on Twitter that the tenth expansion pack, Snowy Escape, will arrive soon. It's due on November 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. With the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S offering backwards compatibility with the previous generation, you should be able to play the expansion on those systems without issue, as well.
The pack will take players to Mt. Komorebi, which is inspired by the skiing regions of Japan. It will feature some enjoyable, meditative activities, like visiting an onsen, or you can go skiing, snowboarding, and rock climbing. The trailer below shows off some of the new features.
Responding to fans' speculations, The Sims 4 global community manager also clarified that owning a Seasons expansion pack will not be necessary to purchase the Snowy Escape pack.

The Sims 4 recently released a Star Wars-themed pack called Journey to Batuu. The add-on featured franchise characters like Kylo Ren and Rey, as well as popular locations like Oga's Cantina. Players could also create their own lightsabers and build custom droids. The expansion pack also let players decide whether they wanted to swear loyalty to the Resistance or the First Order.
The last expansion pack was titled Eco Lifestyle, and it released in June. As the name suggests, players could produce their own water and electricity through sustainable methods. Other activities like growing food in a vertical garden, recycling, and thrifting for used furniture were also part of the add-on. With so many customization options available at this point in The Sims 4, you can truly make your virtual life exactly as you see fit.
