The newest entry to the Silent Hill horror game series, Silent Hills, may be released in an episodic format.
Developed by Kojima Productions, studio head Hideo Kojima stated during the Konami showcase event at Tokyo Game Show today that the team was looking at how television seasons were scheduled and considering a similar format for the game. However, at this stage its release format is still undecided.
Silent Hills was originally revealed as horror game P.T. ("playable teaser") for the PS4, which was launched as a free demo on the PlayStation Store with almost no explanation as to what it was. Kojima later admitted that P.T. was an experiment in making a game with Konami's own FOX Engine. The game is a collaboration between Hideo Kojima and Hollywood director Guillermo del Toro.
P.T. was the recipient of GameSpot's Game of the Month award in August--for more info, check out our feature on why you should play the game.
