Entourage creator Doug Ellin took to Twitter to share that he will begin shopping a new show around that will feature a partial cast reunion from the hit HBO show, Entourage. It's not clear if it's an Entourage revival. In 2020, Ellin said he is "considering" a reboot of the show.

Ellin shared the news in response to fans on Twitter calling for an Entourage revival, saying he has a "new show with a lot of them." Later, he added that they haven't pitched the show to any streamers yet, but his team "thought we had a deal with a big production company but I don't think that is going to happen."

In 2021, Ellin said in an interview that he felt HBO has given the series the cold shoulder since it ended in 2011. Speaking with Yahoo Entertainment, the screenwriter and director says that despite an eight-season run, high ratings, and many award nominations, he thinks HBO has unfairly distanced itself from the show--which has only served to hurt his career.

Blaming a "wave of righteous PC culture," Ellin says that he doesn't view Entourage as "high art, but it was a pretty accurate portrayal of how people [acted] at that time in Hollywood." The realities of Hollywood then, Ellin explains, were exactly what Entourage set out to reflect--which he now feels the show has unfairly gotten a reputation of celebrating.

Later in that interview, Ellin shares that he shot a pilot for HBO with Michael Imperioli, Michael Rappaport, and Ed Burns--but that never moved forward. It's possible this new project could be some new version of that, but only time will tell.
