New Shots: Final Fantasy IX

Friday, GameSpot News acquired new details on Square's role-playing title Final Fantasy IX for the Sony PlayStation. The new screenshots show the town of Alexandria, where players will encounter several mini-games, such as playing jump rope in the street with children or finding a lost cat. The game will also feature the so-called "Moogle Net," where players will receive and deliver letters to different Moogles around the world.

Final Fantasy IX is scheduled for a July 7 release in Japan.
