Poland-based Lemon Interactive, a developer formed from CODA Interactive and other studios, has released a group of new screenshots from its upcoming space combat real-time strategy game, Starmageddon. The new screenshots show off some of the game's units, weapon effects, and colorful 3D space environments.

The developer of the game describes it as the innovative 3D environment of Homeworld meets the easy-to-use game mechanics of Red Alert 2. The game is based on battles between humans and two different races of aliens. Each race has a different resource management system, as well as a unique psychology and social system. The game's advanced 3D engine supports specular lighting, a full particle system, dynamic lighting effects, and a number of other advanced effects.

Starmageddon is scheduled for a European release in October. Octagon Entertainment is currently seeking a North American publisher for the game. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
