New screens: SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth

THQ has released new screenshots from WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth, which is currently in development for the PlayStation 2 at Yukes--the development house responsible for the previous SmackDown! games. The new screenshots show off some in-ring action and some cutscenes from the story mode in the game. Like in the WWE, players will be able to hold a draft in which they will set the rosters for both Raw and SmackDown. There will also be a variety of different match types that will take place in the ring and backstage. Yukes is working hard to make sure that the wrestlers in the game accurately reflect their real-life counterparts by increasing the amount of detail on the character models and giving each wrestler unique stances.

SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth is currently scheduled for release on the PlayStation 2 in Q4 2002. We'll have much more on the game soon.
