New screens: Etherlords

Fishtank Interactive has released a new group of screenshots from its upcoming 3D turn-based strategy game, Etherlords. The new screens display a variety of fantasy creatures that will be featured in the game, as well as some of the game's detailed 3D environments.

Etherlords combines strategic resource management with a combat system based on collectible-card games. Players will lead one of four races in an epic war for control of the world. Each race features more than 120 unique creatures that players can summon to do battle. In addition, players have access to more than 300 magic spells.

Etherlords is in beta testing at Nival Interactive, the studio that created Evil Islands and the Rage of Mages games, and it is scheduled for release this holiday season. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
