Mythic Entertainment sent us a new group of screenshots from its upcoming online role-playing game, Dark Age of Camelot. The new screenshots show off some of the game's different characters and creatures, as well as some of the environments that will be featured in the game. In particular, a group of fire giants can be seen standing in front of a stone keep, and some characters can be seen casting spells against a creature in Hibernia.

Dark Age of Camelot is set in a persistent online world based on the traditional legends of King Arthur and the Round Table. The world is split into three realms--Albion, Midgard, and Hibernia--each of which has different strengths and weaknesses. Players will choose to play as one of four basic character classes, and their characters will be able to pursue specializations once they reach the fifth level and join a guild. The game will feature a wide variety of quests and a number of creatures and enemies.

Dark Age of Camelot is currently in closed beta testing at Mythic, and it is scheduled for release this fall. For more information, take a look at our in-depth previews of the game.
