the hell will they call this anyway, the playstation diet? I already have a slim that looks better than this hunk of junk, at least make this look appealing.

I was going to buy one after hearing the news of a new model. But after seeing this, maybe not. Here's a PROTIP, "ruffles" and crevices in electronics where dust gathers are just there so manufacturers can determine what type of environment the device has been through when you send it in for warranty.

Not sure why the discussion is around how ugly the console is. Are you all americans? Superficial assholes!!! PS3 works great and have never crashed on me and does what I want no excuses.

Everything else Sony makes is classy as shit but their consoles have always been uglier than fucking

@PSYCHOV3N0M OF coures I could do that but it would be nice to have just one console set up because I don't have lots of room so when I can find ways to save room that's nice.

That 16GB model is just a total waste and they shouldn't even bother. 500+GB is the way to go.

That thing is ugly as hell, but if the price is right is what matters most to me at this point.

A new Playstation 3 slim,slim in 160GB, 250GB and 500GB Other than the slot loading feature being removed. I wonder if Sony has cut anything else from the new 4000 series?

personally, that is not one of the best pictures featured here to show the new design but it isn't really that great an improvement when it comes to the aesthetics of the design. I kind of prefer the monolithic designs of the previous two over the gloss and ruffled featured on the top of this one.

i also don't think it will be that much smaller than the current slim so unless you've thinking about getting a ps3 or have one that is on the way out then this might be right up your street.

with this, i think,its all about the price, Sony is planning one last swing at Microsoft and Nintendo, my guess is the 16gb version should be well under $200 (149.99 would not be bad ) ,add the ability to add additional storage(hopefully) and sony's impressive game exclusives and you have a no brainer , i don,t see a reason to get this if you already have a ps3 though, but if you don't and you where not even considering it, this(if sony price it right) should give you pause

It's about time!!! Don't know why they didn't have a way to take the friggin disk out in the first place. I love my PS3, but whoever designed it so you couldn't take the disk out is an idiot.

The big question is can the user upgrade the hard drive with any sata drive?

It almost looks like the system is damaged. At this point to release a new model there really needs to be something worth while not just a ruffled cover.
