New Prey Gameplay Trailer Explores a Space Station Full of Monsters
Those are some pretty frightening creatures.
Quakecon 2016 began today, and to kick off the conference Bethesda released the first gameplay trailer for the new Prey. This is the first time we've seen the game in action, and it looks pretty terrifying.
In the trailer, main character Morgan Yu narrates his exploration of a space station and the enemies you'll encounter, and we also get to see some of the monsters we'll have to face. Although it doesn't show much gameplay, the video does show Morgan holding a pistol and a different, mysterious weapon. You can check out the trailer above.
The video also hints at the story in the game, as Morgan mentions that he feels like something is watching him. It's presented as an audiolog, with the character talking directly to anyone who's listening.
In the description, Bethesda states, "Arkane reimagines this franchise from the ground up, with an added psychological twist. In Prey, you are the first human enhanced with alien powers aboard a desolate space station under assault. Improvise and innovate in order to survive as you search for answers."
The rebooted Prey was announced at E3 2016 with a cinematic trailer. You can watch that here.
