A new clip from the upcoming The Suicide Squad spinoff TV show Peacemaker has arrived, showing John Cena's Peacemaker getting roasted by his colleagues.

The clip stems from what appears to be an early episode, as it shows what looks like Peacemaker's introduction to the Task Force X group. His colleagues make fun of his outfit ("Costume? This is a uniform," Peacemaker says) and how he named his eagle pet sidekick Eagle-y. Check out the clip below.

Peacemaker will primarily take place after the events of The Suicide Squad, but it will have flashback scenes as well, according to ScreenRant.

SPOILERS FOR THE SUICIDE SQUAD FOLLOW BELOW

Peacemaker killed Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) at the end of The Suicide Squad to protect the Project Starfish government cover-up. Bloodsport (Idris Elba) kills Peacemaker at the end of the movie, except Peacemaker doesn't actually die, it's revealed in a post-credits scene. For the Peacemaker TV show, it appears Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) is recruiting Peacemaker for yet another job.

Peacemaker comes to HBO Max in January 2022. It's not the only big new show headed to the streaming platform next year, as the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon is also on the way for 2022--the first House of the Dragon trailer is out now.

Peacemaker is written by James Gunn, who wrote and directed The Suicide Squad. He's staying busy, also recently confirming that his Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will feature a brand-new MCU character.
