John Cena's Peacemaker is getting his own series, which you hopefully already know, and during DC FanDome, the upcoming HBO Max series got a brand-new teaser trailer and a January 13 premiere date.

If you love bald eagles giving hugs in suburban garages--or riding shotgun in muscle cars--or people in costumes thrusting their pelvises with random objects between their legs, then the latest trailer for Peacemaker is right up your alley. You get to meet the new team Peacemaker is working with, which includes Vigilante, and the two really love shooting guns.

A spin-off of James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker stars John Cena as the titular character who would do anything for peace, even kill. In the post-Suicide Squad series, he's working with a brand-new team, and of course, he's once again tasked with a job that involves killing.

Joining Cena's Peacemaker are Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black) as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma (Pitch Perfect) as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland (The Suicide Squad) as Harcourt, Steve Agee (The Suicide Squad) as Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji (Designated Survivor) as Murn, and Robert Patrick (Terminator 2) as Auggie Smith.

All eight episodes of Peacemaker Season 1 were written by Gunn, who will also direct five episodes--including Episode 1. Peter Safran and Matt Miller will serve as executive producers alongside Gunn, and Cena will serve as co-executive producer.
