New Overwatch Skins Debut For Summer Games 2018

...Does she tell the waves GG too?

D.Va's mech and Reindhart's armor are finally getting the Overwatch Summer Games treatment with brand new legendary skins. The refreshing blue paint job on the mech is complimented by a cute floral outfit on its pilot. Reinhardt, meanwhile, is geared up and ready to hit the field.

D.Va's signature pink "MEKA" has now taken on a more tropical appearance, sprinkled with light blue hibiscus flower designs and white and magenta accents. D.Va herself is much more casual than her traditional uniform, with her long brown hair tossed in a bun, heart sunglasses, pink rashguard and shorts, and coordinating blue life jacket. You can see her new Waverider skin preview below.

Back on land, Reindhart's Gridironhardt skin is decked out in pads instead of armor. Instead of wiping out the front lines with a shield, this legendary skin will let you barrel through the enemy with a tackle. Check out his skin preview below.

Overwatch's Summer Games event is back for its third year on August 9. Lucioball will return this year and the arena will be headed to Busnan, South Korea.

Amazon and Twitch Prime members can also pick up new freebies until September 3 in celebration of the games. For even more Overwatch news, be sure to head on over to our Overwatch hub.

I saw the first line of the article - "D.Va's mech and Reindhart's armor are finally getting the Overwatch Summer Games treatment" - and groaned. "Ugh, what stupid beach motif did they put on Reinhardt's armor :/ " I was not expecting the American Football look; that's awesome.

I would love to be more into Overwatch, but when I spend far, far more time searching for a match, entering a skirmish, getting kicked out of skirmishes because it found a game only to get kicked out of the game because reasons and then bumped back into more waiting rather than actually playing the real game....I would rather just play literally any other online game ever made. None of which seem to have this issue that a overwatch does. I mean, not even fortnite on the switch had these problems and there is far less Switch players than PS4 overwath owners I’m sure.

@ZIMdoom: No idea where you live or what time you play, but I don't have any of those issues on PS4.

@GTR12: how long do you have to wait to get into a game? I’m in Canada. I generally play in the evening. My kids play more during the day since school is out. We’ve never had less than a 3 - 5 minute wait before getting into an actual game. I would argue that in a 30 minute game session we spend more time waiting or in and out of skirmishes than we do actually playing a normal match. It’s frustrating and why we rarely play it. Literally no other game is this much of a pain to play. And it’s too bad because the game is great and a blast to play. But when Fortnite is competing for time and there is never more than a few seconds wait to get into a match (regardless of PS4 or switch), it’s hard to justify the pain of waiting in Overwatch.

@ZIMdoom: I'm in Australia and I get a match (quickplay) in a minute or 2 mins max, its more like 30-45 secs, I don't even have that "skirmish while waiting" feature turned on, as it takes 10 secs to load a map, then I get kicked out as I join a game.

Competitive does take a bit longer (2-3 mins), but that I understand. But its never that long, and the estimator thing is 99% of the time wrong for me, it might say 5 mins, but its always far shorter.

You may want to try a VPN to the US or somewhere, it wont get you banned.
