New Overwatch Skins Coming With Lunar New Year 2019 Event
Oink oink.
Overwatch is once again ringing in the new lunar calendar with an in-game event. This time it's the Year of the Pig, and as usual we can expect a slew of new skins to mark the occasion. Obviously, Roadhog needs to take center stage this time. [Update: The event is now live, as are all of the new Overwatch skins, which is of course the big highlight.]
Year of the Pig will kick off on January 24, 2019 and lasts through February 8. Until then, Blizzard promises to show off a new skin every day on its Twitter and Facebook social channels. You might say they're going to toss around some pigskins.
Squeal with joy!

Last year's Lunar New Year event was the Year of the Dog. It included a host of skins and other cosmetics, along with a special capture the flag mode. Or fetch, as the case may be. Since then we've gotten a few new characters added to the roster, including Wrecking Ball and Ashe. Both of them are behind the rest of the crew on the full-makeover Legendary skins, so we may see some added with this update.
Blizzard has been adding new Overwatch updates fairly regularly, most recently with a mini-event circulating around Ana and giving away a free skin for the character. And that followed just after the Winter Wonderland event. Blizzard has been undergoing some executive staff changes in recent months, but Overwatch is still among its most consistently maintained games.
