New Orange Is The New Black Season 5 Teaser Is Very Intense

Netflix has released a "first look" trailer for Orange is the New Black Season 5--and it's pretty intense. The video shows the character Dyanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco) pointing a gun at a guard, which is where the show ended after Season 4.

Piper (Taylor Schilling) and Alex (Laura Prepon) are walking down a hallway when they encounter this high-stakes situation. They want to avoid trouble, but that's exactly what they're walking into. "We see trouble, we turn around, we walk the other way," Alex says right at the worst moment.

A gunshot can be heard at the end of the video, but we don't see who might have been shot. We won't find out until Season 5 premieres on June 9, it seems.

We don't know much about Orange is the New Black's fifth season. But Taystee actress Danielle Brooks said in an interview with E! in January that the season has a "very detailed, very intense" story that takes place over just three days.

In February 2016, Netflix renewed Orange is the New Black for a further three seasons, bringing it up to Season 7. Orange is the New Black creator/producer/showrunner Jenji Kohan will remain on-board for the new seasons.
